A Mediating Effect of Social Support on the Relationship between Well-dying and Subjective Well-being Perceived by the Elderly People

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine if social support variable would have a significant mediating effect on relationship between well-dying and subjective well-being perceived by elderly people who are living in the areas of Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam. This study finds that perception of well-dying affects social support, and social support affects subjective well-being. However, it is shown that perception of well-dying does not affects subjective well-being. Importantly, social support has a mediating effect on the relationship between well-dying and subjective well-being of perceived by the elderly people.
